Week 14: November 4 - 8


Mon 11/4:
  • We began reading Act II of The Crucible in readers' theater format. 
  • See Act II handout if you were absent -- finish questions 1-9 for homework
  • Here is a PDF of the play in case you need it for homework
  • Extra credit journals for The Body are due by midnight tonight to turnitin.com.
  • Notes/reminders:
    • Unit 5 vocab quiz will be next Friday, 11/15 (unit 4 quiz is this Friday)
    • Please obtain a copy of Mark Twain's The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mon Nov 18
Tues 11/5:
  • Finish Act II
  • Homework: Finish the handout for Act II

Wed 11/6:
  • "Red Scare" background info
  • Vocab activity (unit 4). See the docs from each class for a good review for the quiz. The correct answers are on the last page of each document.
  • Extra credit assessment during X-block today

Thurs 11/7:
  • Begin Act III
  • Instead of a handout for Act III, see this simple outline (it was on the board in class), in which you should bullet notes for the significant character developments and related literary terms.

Fri 11/8:
  • Unit 4 vocab quiz
  • Finish Act III
