- Today was the last day for working on synthesis essays in class -- paper is due to www.turnitin.com by 5:00 pm on Wed 10/30.

- Scroll down to last week's notes for more information on the paper (handouts, resources, etc.)
Tues 10/29:
- We are beginning Arthur Miller's play, The Crucible
- We watched the beginning of the play in order to gain context/background before reading Act I
- Here is the characterization chart that we filled out while watching the movie today
Wed 10/30:
- We will finish viewing Act I of The Crucible
- Today you will convert your synthesis essay from a Google Drive document to a word document (only one person has to do this if you are working with someone). Here's how to do so:
- Log onto your Drive account
- Open your social justice synthesis essay
- Click "file," then "download as" and choose "Microsoft Word (.docx)"
- Your computer will probably automatically download the file to the "Downloads" folder
- If it does, open the file from that folder
- If it does not automatically download, choose a location to save it; then open it
- Make all necessary formatting changes once you open it
- View instructions for turnitin.com
- View MLA formattingThurs 10/31:
