• Mon 12/16: Huck Finn test (see optional reading questions, listed under Mon 12/2, for study guide)
• Tues 12/17: 7th period exam
• Wed 12/18: 1st and 6th period exams
• Thurs 12/19: 2nd and 5th period exams
• Fri 12/20: 3rd and 4th period exams

• Remember, students may only exempt one final, and they must have a 70 or above in order to exempt. Students must make exemption decisions by Thurs 12/12

• Reading schedule: Chapters 15-16, 31-33 by beginning of class today
• Discuss Naturalism (and the river and fog as symbols)
• Independent reading time

Tues 12/10:

• Reading schedule: Chapters 34-36 by beginning of class today
• Reading quiz
• Discuss Bildings Roman (coming of age story) and who really is the main character of the book?

Wed 12/11:

• Reading schedule: Chapters 40 - the end by beginning of class today
• Discuss Jim (flat versus round? and static versus dynamic character?), Realism and Romanticism, and discuss the end of the novel

Thurs 12/12:

• River and end-of-novel assignment (in-class)

Fri 12/13:

• Huck Finn review activity
